WHO WE ARE
The Hellenic Center for Bioarchaeology is a scientific, non-profit organization whose main focus is the study, protection and promotion of osteoarchaeological remains.

It is active in the fields of funerary and environmental archaeology, excavation, conservation and laboratory analysis, biological & forensic anthropology, dental anthropology, osteology and anatomy, paleopathology and clinical investigation, biogeochemistry, and archaeogenetics.

In this context, the main objectives are:

Excavation, osteological and laboratory research, education and training, the creation of modern reference associations, cooperation with the competent services of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and other academic bodies, the study and protection of Greek antiquities in accordance with the existing legal framework, the preservation and promotion of our cultural heritage.

Bioarchaeology

The human skeleton records information that becomes accessible through research. In this way, each skeletal imprint reconstructs a life narrative.
